What We Do
Founded in 1982, Twin Services Limited is a well-established heating and plumbing contracting company, serving commercial customers throughout the North-East region, from Yorkshire to Northumberland, together with occasional contracts within the UK. Work is regularly undertaken for a wide range of clients including local councils, health authorities, medical centres, nursing homes, pubs/clubs, factories, offices and the Ministry of Defence either directly or through main building contractors.
This breadth of expertise covers all aspects of work from small maintaince projects to large contracts with a value up to £300,000. We were responsible for the installation of all soil and waste pipework at the PFI-funded new St James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, having a a value of over £750,000.
Our Company’s 40 skilled tradesmen, who are all directly employed, are J.I.B graded and skills card holders with the J.I.B/CSCS registration card scheme. They are backed by a management and supervisory team which includes experienced contract managers, design engineers and estimators. Continuous Health & Safety training is of utmost importance to us and is proven by our excellent safety record.
Our technical capability is matched by passionate commitment to quality workmanship. Extensive experience in the commercial contracting industry makes Twin Services acutely aware of the importance in meeting tight schedules and deadlines as well as the need to be flexible to the changing demands of each contract.
Recruitment and training form a prime and on-going area of our business. We recognise that it is essential to train young people in order to meet the future requirements of the industry. In this respect we are proud of our active Training program which currently includes 12 apprentices at varying stages of experience.
